Nova Consultant | Business Intelligence/Data Warehousing
Work with a team of Zelusit consultants to complete data warehouse and business intelligence projects that incorporate requirements gathering, logical and physical data models including metadata, source system data analysis, source-to-target data mapping analysis and design; as well as ETL development and quality assurance. Consultants at Zelusit fill a variety of different roles with our clients, however, this entry-level position is tailored toward hands-on technical work.
Zelusit’s Nova Consultants are new and recent graduates who are early in their career yet embody enormous potential. They are on a journey of building professional experience in Data Management and Business Analytics that is empowered by passion, drive and dedication. In this entry-level position, Nova Consultants start their training at Zelusit Corporation’s head office in Markham. After orientation and extensive training, consultants are placed on a client project once a suitable opportunity is available. Zelusit consultants work onsite at our clients’ locations around the GTA.
YOUR PROFILE INCLUDES:
- Computer Science/Computer Engineering degree, or equivalent technical background
- Proficiency with SQL; knowledge of other programming languages would be an asset
- IT development background
- Ability to present complex subjects and alternatives in a clear and concise manner to both technical and non-technical audiences at various levels within an organization
- Previous experience in data warehousing and business intelligence would be an asset
Nova Consultant | Data Management
Work with a team of Zelusit consultants in the complex and exciting areas of data quality, data governance, master data management and reference data management. Learn the latest technologies and methodologies in data management. Data management projects may incorporate requirements gathering, data analysis, logical and physical data modeling, implementation of systems and processes, as well as business communication.

Nova Consultant | Advanced Analytics/Data Science
Work with a team of Zelusit consultants to complete Advanced Analytics and Data Science projects. Use sophisticated methodologies, robust analytical methods and informative visualizations to capture patterns, trends and outliers within data, and help our clients unearth new revenue opportunities, increase operational efficiencies and manage risks.

In this entry-level position, Nova Consultants start their training at Zelusit Corporation’s head office in Markham. After orientation and extensive training, consultants are placed on a client project once a suitable opportunity is available. Zelusit consultants work onsite at our clients’ locations around the GTA.
YOUR PROFILE INCLUDES:
- Computer Science/Computer Engineering degree with courses in Mathematics/Statistics; or Mathematics/Statistics degree with some technical exposure through Computer Science courses or technical projects
- Knowledge of general statistical distributions and techniques, as well as their applications
- Fundamental knowledge of SDLC a must
- Proficiency with Python; knowledge of other scripting languages (ex. Matlab) would be an asset
- Experience with R; knowledge of other statistical packages (SAS, SPSS) would be an asset
- Knowledge of Linux and shell scripting
- Experience with data collection, data cleansing, data aggregation, model training and testing, and visualization
- Familiarization with standard Hadoop Stack (HDFS, Hive, Spark, Flume, Kafka, etc.)
- Knowledge of open-source machine learning tools (Theano, TensorFlow, CNTK, H20.ai, etc.)
- Ability to consume analytical model results and present findings to both technical leads and business executives
- Experience with at least one the following programming languages would be an asset: Java, C/C++, C#
Nova Consultant | Data Engineering
Work with a team of Zelusit consultants to architect, develop, and maintain systems and applications for collecting, storing, and performing batch and real-time processing and analysis of structured and unstructured data. Leverage emerging tools and technologies designed for distributed cloud-based and on-premises environments, like Hadoop, Hive, Apache Spark, Kafka, Pentaho, NiFi, Databricks, Azure Data Factory, HDFS, Azure Blob storage, Azure Data Lake, Google Cloud Platform tools, and others. Consultants at Zelusit Corporation fill a variety of different roles with our clients, however, this entry-level position is tailored toward hands-on technical work using a number of today’s leading Data Engineering tools and technologies.

- Computer Science/Computer Engineering/Mathematics degree, or equivalent technical background
- Some development experience, ideally using Python, Scala or Java, or knowledge of shell scripting would be an asset
- Knowledge of relational databases, including SQL
- Experience with Linux would be an asset
- Strong technical foundation with the ability to learn new tools and technologies quickly
- Interest in Big Data and/or Cloud technologies, previous experience would be an asset
- Familiarity with tools included in Cloudera or Hortonworks Hadoop distribution, or in any major cloud Big Data solution would be an asset
- Ability to present complex subjects and alternatives in a clear and concise manner to both technical and non-technical audiences at various levels within an organization
