You can choose between three service models to create your custom cloud computing environment:

  • Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) includes the basic building blocks of cloud computing, such as virtual machines (VMs), storage and networking (equivalent to hardware and infrastructure in non-cloud computing architectures).
  • Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) is a platform for developing, running and managing applications in the cloud.
  • Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) includes complete software applications that run in the cloud and can be accessed by users over the internet without requiring installation or maintenance.
